About Me

Education: I was valedictorian of my high school in Sayreville, New Jersey. I went to the University of California, Berkeley and graduated with Honors in Chemistry. I then earned my MD and PhD at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey. I discovered that primary care was what our country and health system needed most. After completing my internship in Internal Medicine at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, I decided to pursue Family Medicine at UCSF- Natividad Medical Center. I completed a Stanford OBGYN fellowship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose. I am currently a UCSF Assistant Clinical Professor. My interests include violence in healthcare, chronic pain, natural treatments for chronic pain.

Work Experience: I enjoyed working as a family medicine physician with women’s health emphasis at North East Medical Services (NEMS) in San Jose. At NEMS, I had a passion for well woman visits (especially post menopause) and treating sexually transmitted diseases in the Asian community. I also focused in on the health needs particular to the Asian community, including Hepatitis B screening and H. Pylori ( a common cause of stomach pain and cancer ) detection and treatment. Then, I was an OB GYN surgeon in the family medicine department in Natividad Medical Center (Salinas, CA). I also worked in the clinic system in the county of Monterey, where I did full spectrum family medicine including pediatric well child checks, gynecological procedures such as colposcopy, and treated various diseases from diabetes, elevated blood pressure, and chronic heart failure. Here, I focused on the health of the farm worker and the Hispanic community. In early 2018, I was a part time OBGYN surgeon at Natividad Medical Center while I started my own practice.

My Mission

To provide the highest quality medical care I can. To make sure you get the the best service by providing easy ways to reach me (cell phone, email). I also want to provide an exceptional value as well. Whether your self- employed, have an HSA or high deductible plan, no insurance, or just want to experience family medicine at its very best- you are welcome to my practice.

Care Philosophy

I decided to open my own solo “micro” practice because I feel that there is something missing in medicine : a connection – with one, personal doctor- someone who knows you. I will try my best to give you personal medical care, individual attention, and the best customer service. Come and experience the difference when you are known as a person.

Personal

My business is a family business. My husband helps me with office set up and sometimes doubles as my assistant. My son in middle school and my retired father-in law helped me paint. You’ll also see him occasionally at the office. My other 2 kids go to a public school. I love gardening and growing things, and hanging out with my friends.
